Sake, sashimi and sakura in Kanazawa, Japan
Sampling copious amounts of Sake, gorging ourselves on fresh seafood straight out of the Sea of Japan and joining crowds of Japanese celebrating Mankai 満開 – the peak sakura blossom. That was how we ended six months on the road.

As far south as you can go in Australia, fascinating history, brimming with unique animals (never did see a Tasmanian Devil though), majestic scenery and scrumptious food.
A month exploring one small sliver of Australia
A month is nowhere near long enough to see Australia. In fact it was barely enough time to visit just the east coast. We visited four different states and enjoyed very different experiences in each. Oh, and lots of local beer and wine.
New Zealand Part II – the South Island – Te Waipounamu
Following up on our two week journey on New Zealand’s North Island, we did the same on the South Island. We drove from Queenstown to Christchurch with a lot of stops in between. Spectacular.
